Passover

I have never really celebrated Passover. Not really. Not like Christmas. Not as I should.

This year I really realized how incredibly important it is. For me as a follower of Christ and for everyone else in the world.

Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins. He hung on a cross and with His last breath said, “It is finished”. (John 19:30) He died. And the best part is that He rose again three days later. (From John 20 onwards).

I really want to write something about Christ dying for us, and being raised to life again, but I feel just to keep it simple. The message of the cross is that God loved us so much (more that we can ever comprehend) that He wanted to show His love to us. His love is Jesus. That is the ultimate message that I can give. Jesus Christ lay down His life for YOU. And He loves YOU. And He is desperately calling YOU to love Him back, to just respond to Him… To take notice of this ultimate act of love.

So today and this weekend my focus is Jesus Christ and the Cross.

Turn your attention to Him. You will find Him.

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” – Isaiah 55:6

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5

Enter into God’s love through the blood of Jesus Christ and enter into His peace – were the healing begins.
